Looking for a guacamole-like sauce to use on a burrito bowl or to top a grilled steak? Try this Lime-Avocado Sauce. You can make it in 5 minutes!
When I was working on my Tex-Mex Burrito Bowl recipe, I decided to make a less chunky version of guacamole and add a bit more citrus. This Lime-Avocado Sauce is the result. I love citrus and things that are acidic like apple cider vinegar so I really liked it. The CompostMaster isn’t as much of a fan and thought the sauce was too “limey.” If you aren’t a fan of the tang, try using just half a lime’s worth of juice.
Grilling a steak tonight? Top it with some of this sauce. You’ll love it!
5-Minute Lime-Avocado Sauce
- 1 clove garlic peeled
- ¼ cup cilantro or parsley leaves
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil or avocado oil
- 1 avocado coarsely chopped
- 1 small lime (juice only)
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- With a food processor running, drop the garlic through the feed tube to mince it.
- Stop the processor and add cilantro/parsley, olive oil, avocado, lime juice (you can squeeze it right into the food processor), salt, and pepper.
- Process until smooth.
