Ingredients
1lime, (halved crosswise)
1lemon, (halved crosswise)
1orange, (halved crosswise)
1pink grapefruit, (halved crosswise)
6cupswater
Instructions
Juice all of the fruit into a measuring cup. Discard the rinds.
Pour the juice through a strainer and into a pitcher that will hold at least 8 cups of liquid.
Add the water and stir well.
Notes
This recipe is for 6 servings of citrus water.If you are taking a statin to control your cholesterol, you may want to skip the grapefruit. Grapefruit may increase the risk of side effects with certain statins. Check with your doctor to see if grapefruit is okay for you.This drink can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.You should not drink citrus water that has been at room temperature for more than 12 hours.
