5-Minute Lime-Avocado Sauce

  • 1 clove garlic (peeled)
  • ¼ cup cilantro or parsley leaves
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 avocado (coarsely chopped)
  • Juice from a small lime
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper


  • With your food processor running, drop the garlic through the feed tube to mince it.

  • Stop the processor, then add the cilantro or parsley, olive oil, avocado, lime juice, salt, and pepper.

  • Process until smooth.


This recipe is for 6 servings of lime and avocado sauce. Each serving is 3 tablespoons.
Leftovers can be stored covered or in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Place plastic wrap on the surface of the sauce to help prevent oxidization. 
Enjoy within a few days.
