Ingredients 

  • ½ cinnamon stick
  • 2 whole cloves
  • 1 regular-sized English breakfast tea bag
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 strips of orange zest
  • Orange slice, (optional — for garnish)

Instructions

  • Place the cinnamon stick, cloves, strips of orange zest, and tea bag into a 1-cup glass measuring cup.
    ½ cinnamon stick, 2 whole cloves, 1 regular-sized English breakfast tea bag, 2 strips of orange zest
  • Pour boiling water up to the 1-cup mark.

  • Let the tea steep for 5 minutes.
  • Discard the tea bag, then strain the mixture into a mug. Garnish with orange slice if desired.

Notes

This recipe is for 1 cup of tea.
If avoiding caffeine, use decaf breakfast tea.
Extra tea can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
