Looking for something to do in New England over the weekend of May 10th? Check out the Martha’s Vineyard Wine Festival. My friend Marnely, from Cooking with Books, is one of the organizers and she says it’s ramping up to be an extremely fun event.
“But, Marnely, I don’t drink,” I whined.
“There’s still lots of stuff for you to do,” Marnely said. She mentioned two of her favorite events:
- Man vs. Wild Food – a local chef will create a meal made entirely of foraged food found on the “beach, bush and backyard gardens” of Martha’s Vineyard.
- Oyster and Wine Cruise – yes, wine is involved, but the heart of the cruise is learning how oysters are harvested. You’ll also get to eat fresh oysters!
So if you’re up for a trip to MV, you might want to do it during the wine festival. Whether you drink or not.
