This looks so good. I laughed at the question as to where the left overs were. When it is good, it does not last long...

Looks very nice. It will be a great way to get more fresh fruit into even the pickiest eater, such as a child, I am thinking.

Hi Jessica - Thanks for the question! If you try Prince's variation and substitute 1/2 an avocado for the papaya, you will get the following per serving: 219 calories, 8g fat (1g sat), 0mg cholesterol, 5mg sodium, 40g total carb, 9g fiber, 24g sugar and 3g protein. So, calories and fat are higher than in the papaya version, but carbs and sugar come down a bit. Fiber and protein go up a little too. I think either version can be part of a healthy eating plan. If you have a nutritionist or dietician, you may want to check to see which would be best for your particular situation.

Hi Shelby,

Does the Avocado smoothie of Prince diabetes friendly? Will that help me lower down my blood sugar or the papaya smoothie still better for me?

Thanks a lot!

Wow! Your fig recipe looks great and the photos are top notch! Quinoa is cooked in my home often, but never in a recipe with something sweet. Someday I plan on getting photos as good as yours.

Hi Prince - Good luck with the diet! For an avocado smoothie, I would use at least half an avocado, maybe even a whole one since they are much smaller than papayas. It will add a little fat, but it's the good kind of fat. I've also found that avocado and pineapple is a good combination. Let me know how it turns out.

Hi Shelby,

You know what? I can eat ripe papaya actually I'm enjoying ripe papaya because I'm dieting. But I've never tasted Papaya Smoothie. And I'm sure it is healthier than just ripe papaya.

I will try this Shelby I think by the end of the week. Then I will share it to my friends who are also dieting right now. And I'm sure they will like it too.

Question: what if I want Avocado Smoothie, are these the ingredients that I need to use.?
1 banana, peeled and cut in half
1/3 large ripe avocado, peeled and cut into large chunks
1 orange, peeled and cut in half
1 apple, cored and cut in half
1 cup ice

Thank you so much for sharing Shelby!
